We are Vivienne Du and Jo Hooper, and this is our first day on the Digital Stage internship. Over the next 19 weeks we will document our experiences in curation and event management, our new contacts with the art industry in Nottingham.
We will be taking part in a series of events and exhibitions in the forthcoming months, including 'The Way Forward' (23rd May - 8th July) which will explore old technologies used in new ways. It will explore re-enactment, re-creation and repetition of the past. More information about upcoming events will be available via The Cutting Room website.

We have been introduced to the events being planned and organised this year, and helped with arranging the dates in which all the tasks would need to take place. There is certainly a of planning and organisation that goes into an exhibition/event before it is realised. We have been given responsibility to enhance The Cutting Room's Facebook presence, and create this blog.
